Our Story

I believe the most beautiful celebrations are not just about how they look. They are about how they feel.

After years of planning corporate events, conferences, fundraisers, family celebrations, and unforgettable gatherings, I have learned that the moments people remember most are rarely the ones that cost the most. They are the thoughtful details, personal touches, and unexpected moments that bring people together.

This past year, I had the honor of creating florals for four beautiful brides. However, when planning my daughter Rachel and son-in-law Diego’s wedding, they provided me with a little more input. Together,, we created a celebration that was completely and uniquely them. Yes, there were beautiful flowers, carefully designed tables, and meaningful decor, but the magic came from the story woven throughout the entire day.

Flowers included pieces of family history. Guests took home legacy plants grown from our family gardens. A tasting bar shared favorite spirits and stories from our travels. Guests were invited into the experience with surprise missions that had them laughing, connecting, creating memories, and becoming part of the celebration itself.

Watching our guests bond, laugh, and create unforgettable moments together reminded me why I love this work so much.

Event Experience & Testimonials

With more than 40 years experience planning and executing professional large scale, community, and intimate family events, my goal is to help my clients not only celebrate, but create the most beautiful memories. Incorporating their ideas, love, traditions, passions, and culture; while adding memorable, functional, and heartfelt ideas to help them expand their vision.

I began my event career working for a travel trade association coordinating the operations of trade shows and meetings all over the world. I shifted to domestic continuing medical education meetings and events for physicians and pharmaceutical companies, before taking time off to be a full time Mom of four. During this time I consulted on event operations and continued to run trade shows, foundation fundraisers, community events, and private sector functions. I spent ten years in the classroom as a teacher and ran the theatre program at our middle school producing and directing close to 20 productions. During this time I also became a “minister of love” and have taken on the beautiful task of writing and officiating heartfelt ceremonies.

My children are now adults and we‘ve moved to the beautiful town of Julian, CA where we have opened a Farm Stand. I have authored a children’s chapter book (series), create handcrafted body care products, baked goods, crafts, flowers, and leis highlighting fresh botanicals. I’m thrilled to officially add officiant services to the portfolio of products and services offered through Blissful Leisure Botanicals.
